Despite being a little disappointed with our time here in Rockport on the Coastal Bend of Texas, we have to take a look back and be thankful for the trip we have experienced so far. So many wonderful experiences and interesting people and places. It is hard to believe we have been on the road for almost five months.
Just in case no one believes what we are experiencing, this is the band of "moisture" we have been under for the last two days
It is a grey, dreary end to 2013. By 5:00 we have had our New Years dinner of Bbq'd rib eye steak, baked potatoes and veggies ....cooked outside in the rain....not too exciting but neither is the day.
To quote our granddaughter Jasmyne, "It's a new year. It's time to start again."...tomorrow we will begin to get organized for life on the road again. We have become accustomed here to water, both hot and cold on demand, unlimited electricity and power for all our electronics. Everything is a trade off but we know how to live off the grid and let the sunshine provide for us.
As you can see there is not a lot to discuss about what we should be doing...8 deg and rain, verses 22 deg and sunshine. Also I haven't been out taking pictures nor doing a lot of inspiring painting so my blog is about as interesting as the weather.
Day one tomorrow and we have a lot to be thankful for. We look forward to many new, exciting adventures ahead in 2014 and say Happy New Years and send all our love to our beautiful family and all our friends.
May the ball drop peacefully for 2014.
